Please read and discuss this rule and procedure sheet with your parents. You and your parents should sign this sheet and return it to me by _____________.
Place your rules and procedure sheet in the Reading section of your binder.
Your Reading grade will be based on many different kinds of assignments that you will complete this year. Doing each of them on time and with your best effort should help you earn the best grades possible.

The grading scale I use is as follows:
90-100% A
80-89% B
70-79% C
60-69% D
59%-below F

Extra credit opportunities arise during each six weeks; take advantage of them when they occur. I WILL NOT CREATE EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS to help raise a grade you don’t like at the end of the six weeks.

Expect tests, quizzes, writing assignments, reading assignments, skill exercises, and projects including oral presentations, posters, research, and reports. Look for daily warm up activities, too. Each task has points attached to it based on the amount of time and effort required to complete it well.

Homework will not be accepted late since it is reviewed the following day. If you are absent, you will have 3 days to turn in your homework. After the two days have passed, 5 points will be deducted from your work for every day it is late. This will also apply to late homework as well.

Try your best, but if you need extra help, I can make myself available to you during tutoring and after school.

Parent’s and Guardian’s, my number at school is (806)385-3922. You can also email me at Working together, we can all look forward to a great year!

**I understand the way in which you will evaluate me/my child.**

If the student returns the Rules and Procedures forms back by the date listed above they will receive a 100 as a TEST GRADE!
